Christ Redeemer
One of the new Seven Wonders of the Modern World.
Christ Redeemer is an icon for Rio de Janeiro that overlooks the city with a beautiful view.
We had not seen the statue yet, and thought the perfect time would be to go when our brother and sister-in-law were visiting. This post is very late, because this was in October! It was a really fun day filled with gorgeous views of the city.
We took the train up the mountain of Corcovado in the early afternoon. We wanted to see Christ Redeemer during the day, at sunset, and night. Heading up the mountain in the afternoon was perfect for that. They have a cafe at the top that we were able to sit at and enjoy some juice and wait for the sun to go down.
